THE FULL CIRCLE EDUCATION CURRICULUM

Full Circle Education offers our students a wide variety of meaningful tiered accreditation opportunities that enable them to realise personal success and to experience qualification progression whilst in our care. Our curriculum offer is routine but creative; shared yet personalised, engaging, targetted and challenging. We maintain focus on the acquisition of key skills in communication, literacy and numeracy, and lessons in Maths and English feature daily on our timetable as does a dedicated lesson to shared reading. We are passionate about challenging and addressing the literacy deficit as this is a significant issue for the young people who attend Full Circle, and improving their literacy and in particular reading, writing and acquisition of general knowledge is pivotal to their holistic success. PHSE, Science, Physical Education, Media, Art, History and Geography, Gardening and 'Discover Me' feature on our curriculum with weekly input and special one-off events scheduled throughout the year as part of our enrichment programme. This programme underpins our PHSE offer and students can expect a menu of diverse experiences during their time at the school from animal therapy to sexual health and relationship education; STEM workshops, to First Aid and Religious Education; talks from Amnesty International to visits from elite athletes representing Sky Sports. Our bespoke 'Enigma' programme allows children to experience a topic led weekly Arts and History workshop and this year our topics are focused on our committment to exploring our emotions, feelings and in turn, our identity. Full Circle Educationis a registered examinations centre and this gives Full Circle students access to differentiated accreditation opportunities from AQA Unit Awards; Functional Maths and English qualifications; young leadership awards and swimming accrediation that meets their stage, age and of course interests.
